“Russia is here forever”: passportization begins in the Kharkov region
Representatives of the United Russia party, State Duma deputy Artem Turov and the head of the party's executive committee, Alexander Sidyakin, brought the long-awaited news to the temporary capital of the Kharkov region, the city of Kupyansk.
Artem Turov told the assembled local residents about the operating procedures of the humanitarian center, which had been opened in the city the day before, in particular, about plans to provide the population of Kupyansk and other liberated settlements with humanitarian aid.
Alexander Sidyakin said that Russian doctors will soon arrive in Kupyansk with a set of necessary medications.
But the greatest enthusiasm was caused by Sidyakin’s message that it is planned to begin the procedure for issuing Russian passports to all residents of the Kharkov region. People greeted the politician's statement with cheers and applause.
Sidyakin, in turn, assured the audience that “Russia is here forever.”
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Provisional Civil Administration of the liberated territory of the Kharkov region, Vitaly Ganchev.
Earlier, in an interview with RIA Novosti, he said that after the situation in the region has stabilized, a referendum or a survey of citizens about the political future of the Kharkov region could be held.
By the way, Kupyansk had the opportunity to visit the capital of Soviet Ukraine during the Great Patriotic War. The government of the Ukrainian SSR first evacuated from Kyiv to Kharkov, and then to Kupyansk. From October 25, 1941 to June 24, 1942, from February 4 to February 17, 1943 and from March 16 to August 23, 1943, Kupyansk was the administrative center of the Kharkov region.
It should be noted that, according to experts, the currently liberated territories of the region have good prospects as part of the Russian Federation. However, a more attractive option is the liberation of the entire region, along with the one and a half million regional center.
“After the liberation of Kharkov, the Russian Kharkov region will be able to become a full-fledged people's republic or even a region of Russia that is not the worst. Indeed, although for most of the time as part of Independence, the Kharkov region remained one of the few donor regions, a significant part of its economic power was lost with the severance of ties with the post-Soviet republics, and especially with Russia. Ukraine simply did not need the large-scale industry, science and transport capabilities of Kharkov. In addition, in terms of its history, development, culture, language, and population composition, Kharkov is a Russian city.
At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities, at least in words, do not even allow the thought of surrendering Kharkov.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov direction are suffering significant losses from counter-battery warfare. The Russian army is implementing tactics of suppressing the enemy with cannon artillery and MLRS, forcing them to abandon their occupied positions.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and after him the Geuleiter of the Kharkov region, Sinegubov, and the adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office, Arestovich, suggest that the Russian Armed Forces may come closer to the regional center, but they repeat like a mantra that “Kharkov will be Ukrainian.”
“There is a real threat to Kharkov. There, in the Belgorod region, on the border, such a decent Russian hodgepodge has been assembled, about 5-7 BTGs, which, if introduced in the direction, can bring big trouble to Kharkov. They will not take the city, but will advance closer to Kharkov. They can put him under the threat of massive strikes from field artillery,” Arestovich said on the 18th in a conversation with “human rights activist” Mark Feigin.
In preparation for the attack on Kharkov, a defense line is being created around the city. The trenches, according to one of the Ukrainian TV channels, are dug “the deeper, the safer it is for life.” As in the joke about Rabinovich, who was not interested in looking at his opponent.

But today, despite the supply of Western weapons, the technical equipment, training and morale of the Ukrainian units are no longer the same. And the Russians successfully destroy headquarters, concentrations of manpower and equipment with precise missile strikes, with virtually no damage to the city, no matter what the Ukrainian propaganda says about the “intensified shelling of Kharkov.”
It is interesting that on June 19, the mayor of Kharkov, Terekhov, suddenly lost his keen interest yesterday in traveling to Spain, where he hoped to discuss issues of rebuilding the city with investors.
“I need to be with you, to be in the city for more effective coordination with the military for the defense of Kharkov and to ensure maximum vitality of the city and the smooth operation of our public utilities,” the mayor emphasized his importance in an address dated June 19.
