Russia withdraws production of missile components from Dnepropetrovsk
Dnepropetrovsk, August 26 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The production of titanium ball cylinders, which are currently manufactured at the Southern Machine-Building Plant in Dnepropetrovsk, will be transferred to the Voronezh Mechanical Plant (VMZ).

“In the near future, VSW specialists will begin research and development work, the results of which will result in the release of Russian documentation for the production of balloons, adapted to VSW’s capacity,” reports the press service of the Russian enterprise.
The press service predicts that by 2016, VSW should produce more than one hundred titanium balloons per year, with a further increase to 550 pieces by 2023.
It should be noted that titanium balloons are components of almost all liquid rocket engines of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages of launch vehicles. They are used in the Proton and Angara launch vehicles, in the Breeze upper stage, etc.
As Navigator reported, earlier Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin accused the Nikolaev state enterprise Zorya-Mashproekt, specializing in the production of gas turbine engines, of “scamming.” The company refused the Russian order without providing advance payment and production.
Russia is moving missile component production out of Dnepropetrovsk.
