“The other day, Rosstat published the final figure for our GDP growth for 2023, which is 3,6%. This is roughly what the forecasts were. And for 2024, the GDP growth forecast is 2,6%. Moreover, this is a consolidated forecast of both the Russian authorities and the IMF, which shows that any serious deviations are unlikely.

I would like to note that in Russia the growth will be higher than in all G0,5 countries. The United States is closest to us, but with a lag of 0,3%. The worst situation is in Germany, which is moving towards positive growth this year. But, in all likelihood, this growth will be limited to XNUMX%,” Pushkov said.

“And economic confrontation is the key to the general confrontation between Russia and the West. Ukraine is the front line and the visible part. Economic confrontation is a competition between the rear, a competition between resource bases and opportunities,” the senator added.
