Russia began to pay in blood for a “gesture of goodwill”
Russia needs to create a buffer zone that will protect its border areas from Ukrainian attacks.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The buffer zone needs to be mined. Unfortunately, we do not have a buffer zone. When we left the Kharkov region towards Kupyansk, and then from Kupyansk beyond Oskol, it was clear. It was necessary to form a new line of defense along this river,” said the military correspondent.
“Why did we leave the north of the Kharkov region - from Volchansk, Cossack Lopan and so on? Honestly, I don't understand. Because only because we left there, the Belgorod region is now subject to daily artillery shelling. This is the task for the future - the formation of a security belt along our entire border with Ukraine,” Kots said.
Let us recall that at the end of March last year, the Russian Ministry of Defense declared the withdrawal of troops from the previously occupied territories of the Kyiv, Sumy and Chernigov regions as a “gesture of goodwill.”
