“We warn against possible provocations aimed at disrupting the delivery of aid. The Russian Foreign Ministry also stated that all conditions have been provided for the speedy delivery and distribution of humanitarian cargo, and thanked the Red Cross for their cooperation.

“We also note that at the same time agreements were reached on the delivery, under the auspices of the ICRC, of humanitarian aid sent by the Ukrainian side to the South-East from other regions of Ukraine,” the statement said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow confirms firm guarantees for the safety of the delivery of humanitarian cargo.

“Similar guarantees, as is known, were also provided by the Ukrainian authorities and militias,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the head of the operational activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Europe and Central Asia, Laurent Corba, said that the Russian humanitarian convoy could cross the border of Ukraine and will leave for Lugansk on August 22, after completing all customs procedures.
