Russia called on the EU to ensure the rights of Serbs in Kosovo
The European Union cannot ensure respect for the rights of Serbs in Kosovo. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today.

“The creation of a community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo has been sabotaged for four years by the Kosovars with the connivance of the European Union. We call on the EU to more actively push Pristina to fulfill its obligations, which should ensure the collective rights and interests of the Kosovo Serbs,” Zakharova said.
According to her information, on January 14, armed formations of the Kosovo Albanian police, under a far-fetched pretext, invaded areas populated by Serbs, the situation still remains turbulent.
“We note that the process of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, in which the European Union mediates, is progressing with difficulty. There is a deep lack of trust both between the parties and in relation to the European Union. Unfortunately, this mistrust towards Brussels is caused by its passivity,” Zakharova said.
