Kyiv - Moscow, May 29 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russia will provide humanitarian assistance to the Donetsk People's Republic, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told the Russian News Service radio station.
“Humanitarian assistance will definitely be provided to them. I can’t say anything about the military, you need to ask the military themselves about this, but we will certainly provide humanitarian assistance,” Interfax quotes him as saying.

Earlier, the head of the Supreme Council of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, addressed Russia with a request for “any available assistance.” The day before, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the Kremlin had not received the appeal, but promised that it would be considered as soon as it was received.
On May 25, the Ukrainian authorities resumed the military operation in the southeastern regions of Ukraine. The most violent clashes between militias and Ukrainian military personnel occurred in the cities of the Donetsk region, in particular in Donetsk, Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
