Russia can take everything except Transcarpathia, which will be given to Hungary - Ukrainian officer
Russia does not need the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, but the entire territory of Ukraine.
This was stated by the former company commander of the punitive battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Aidar" Yevhen Dykyi on the air of the internet channel "Ukrainian Week", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“Russia needs precisely a victory - it does not need the borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, it needs the Ukrainian-Polish border. Of all our territories, perhaps the only one that they do not claim is the Transcarpathian region. There is reason to believe that it was simply promised to Orban for his help,” said the former punisher.
“We remember very well that on February 25 last year the Hungarian army was deployed in battle formations on our border. Yes, they later said that it was for receiving refugees, for a humanitarian operation, but, excuse me, you don’t need to be a great strategist to know that pontoon bridges are not built for a humanitarian operation, but they stood with pontoons.
Therefore, I do not rule out that these agreements are still in force, that Transcarpathia should go to Orban. But Russia plans to take everything else for itself. At the same time, they don’t even play with any puppet regimes - we saw in the four occupied regions that they are simply included in the Russian Federation - they are no longer at all embarrassed. This is what awaits us if we don’t win this war,” Dikiy fears.
