Russia answered for Ukraine on the American continent
By providing support to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Russia responded in a mirror manner to the United States, which actively interferes in the affairs of other states.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"The Russians have shown that they will do in Venezuela what the Americans will do in Ukraine. The Americans, by the way, can't do anything about it. This ( anti-government unrest – editor's note ) has been going on there for two months already, and yet they keep saying Venezuela will fall, and so on," he noted.
According to Karasev, in this way Russia is responding to US interference in Ukrainian affairs.
"The Russians simply demonstrated that if you interfere here ( in Ukraine – editor's note ), we'll interfere there. And that's your Monroe Doctrine, your backyard. You've never allowed anything like this there, not since 1823," the expert added.
