Russian expert calls for large-scale air operation in Ukraine
The Russian army needs a free hand and permission to conduct a large-scale air operation, employing a large number of weapons against enemy targets and suppressing their air defenses. Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Roy TV internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Sivkov, Russian planes must pass through the entire territory of Ukraine.

“In order to prepare an air offensive operation that could develop into a campaign, it could be done within a week, it is quite feasible. To do this, it would be necessary to relocate 300-400 aircraft to forward airfields, removing them from other directions - this is quite feasible. And then carry out the first air campaign, an air offensive operation using all these aircraft, during which to suppress the remaining air defense systems of Ukraine, including NASAMS, which the Ukrainians have.
Yes, there could have been losses - this must be clearly understood, but the comprehensive use of electronic suppression aircraft and anti-radar aircraft would have made it possible to solve this problem. Moreover, we must not forget a simple thing - the Russian Aerospace Forces, in particular the Air Force, are practicing the task of destroying the air defense system of NATO countries, they must be practiced in exercises, and they must be ready to solve this problem... In conditions of suppressed air defense, in the intervals between Systematic actions are carried out using massive air and missile strikes. That is, they constantly fly to the entire depth of Ukrainian territory. There are no longer such large groups of 300 modern aircraft at a time, but 20-30-40 aircraft. They identified the target - immediately there was a strike, a squadron arrived, say, Su-27, Su-24, old planes, or a Su-25 attack aircraft. The bomb load even over a long distance is 4-5 tons. These are 8-10 500 kg bombs. The squadron already has 100-150 bombs of 500-250 kilogram caliber. It buries everything, nothing remains there.
You can go through NURS (unguided missiles - author), somewhere especially important objects, of course, with high-precision weapons, but not a missile for one and a half million dollars with a combat range of 4,5 thousand kilometers, but a missile, the same X-29 , which also has a warhead of 300 kilograms, but a combat range of 10-15 kilometers, it can be hit without entering the range of MANPADS and at the same time guaranteed to be destroyed by a thermal imaging homing head, very accurately, reliably and guaranteed. And it costs 10 times less than a high-precision long-range missile, which is intended for completely different purposes - to strike the continent from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. And thus, iron everything, hit everything,” said Sivkov.
The expert also emphasized that such air operations should also be followed by large-scale ground operations:
“After conducting a series of one or two or three air offensive operations over the course of two or three weeks - slowly, without straining, using such weapons, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will cease to exist as an integral organization. And then, quite calmly, a large-scale offensive is carried out against the encirclement, the destruction of the remnants of troops in the Donbass, the destruction of the remaining troops, demoralized, disorganized, not knowing what to do. There will be purely focal resistance, as was the case in Iraq when the Americans were advancing. And with minimal losses among the civilian population, among our troops, and even among the troops of Ukraine, we are solving the problem of forcing the Zelensky regime to capitulate and liberate the entire territory of Ukraine. And moreover, such decisive actions will stop “hot heads” in Poland and in any other countries.”
