“Russian troops on the border with Ukraine are ready to solve strategic problems” – Murakhovsky
The West should not be outraged by the presence of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine, since the Russian Federation has the legal right to station them there.
The correspondent reports about this "PolitNavigator", one of Russia's leading military experts, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Arsenal of the Fatherland" Viktor Murakhovsky, told Moskovsky Komsomolets in an interview.
The expert noted that in recent years Russia has taken unprecedented measures and efforts to create a fundamentally new system of command and control.
“Compared to 2014, we see its effectiveness, when troops no longer experience any difficulties in using and interacting under a single command. And now we have already created sufficient groupings of forces in strategic directions that can solve not only operational, but also strategic tasks,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
Explaining why he remembered 2014, he noted that at that time Russia had no military units at all in the territories bordering Ukraine.
“Now work in the field of creating groupings of troops and forces is underway. It is, I would say, almost in its final stage. Remember the media reports: the division appeared here, then here,” says the analyst.
In turn, the publication drew attention to the fact that Europe does not like Russian troops on the borders with Ukraine.
“She doesn’t like a lot of things. But it is our business what and how to do on our territory. And if someone doesn’t like it, protest. Which, in fact, is what they do in the European Parliament on various occasions. But I want to remind you that we, unlike Western Europe and NATO, do not keep foreign nuclear weapons on our territory. And like the United States, we do not place our own nuclear weapons in other countries. We keep our nuclear weapons exclusively at home. So, on their part, I would not “exchange fire” with any accusations – it would still not be in their favor,” concluded Murakhovsky.
