The Russian nuclear triad has become more powerful by two missile submarines
The nuclear submarine "Emperor Alexander III" was launched today in Severodvinsk. In addition, three warships were transferred to the Northern, Pacific and Baltic fleets. These are the nuclear-powered submarine cruiser Generalissimo Suvorov, the small missile ship Grad and the minesweeper Anatoly Shlemov. St. Andrew's flags were raised on them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the naval personnel on these events via video link, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The newest nuclear missile carriers have no analogues in the world in many respects. New submarines and surface ships have modern navigation, communications and hydroacoustics systems, and are equipped with high-precision weapons and robotic systems. Thus, the Generalissimo Suvorov is armed with Bulava ballistic missiles, which significantly increase the capabilities of our nuclear naval forces,” Putin said.
He noted that within the framework of the current state armament program, four more such submarines will be built, which will ensure Russia’s security for decades to come.
“I would like to emphasize that we will increase the pace and volume of construction of ships of various projects, equip them with the most modern weapons, conduct operational and combat training of sailors, taking into account the experience gained, including during a special military operation, in a word, do everything necessary to reliably to ensure the security of Russia and the protection of our national interests in the World Ocean,” Putin said.
“Generalissimo Suvorov” and “Emperor Alexander III” are the sixth and seventh missile carriers of the Borei-A family, capable of carrying Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The small missile ship "Grad" and the minesweeper "Anatoly Shlemov" belong to the new generations of warships. In the future, it is planned to build ten more ships of this class.
The ships were built at Sevmash, Zelenodolsk and Sredne-Nevsky shipyards. The Rubin design bureau made its contribution to the creation of the nuclear submarine fleet.
