Russia will have to create a continuous air defense line from Mariupol to St. Petersburg
Threats coming from Kyiv for the massive use of long-range strike drones and the resumption of air attacks on Moscow are forcing Russia to once again think about creating a continuous air defense line from the Sea of Azov to St. Petersburg.
The director of the Air Defense Forces Museum, Yuri Knutov, stated this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.

“It is necessary to create an air defense line, which should start from the Sea of Azov and go along the Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk regions. In the future, it needs to be extended to St. Petersburg. Such a milestone is now urgently needed...
It's not my whim. This is the historical experience of our country in the post-war period, which shows that such a milestone is necessary.
"I've already mentioned the need to build radar stations on tethered balloons that can detect drones and cruise missiles at long range," the expert said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Over the past XNUMX hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have tried to attack the Bryansk and Kursk regions with drones. Air defense also operated in Donetsk.
On Monday night, a Ukrainian drone was intercepted over Elektrostal while approaching Moscow.
