The Poroshenko regime fleeces the impoverished population
The policy of the Ukrainian authorities regarding gas prices for the population is determined by the desire to take as much money from people as possible and incompetence in economic matters.
Yuriy Gavrilenko, an expert at the Public Security Fund, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The policy is determined by a very simple method: let's redistribute the money through the budget the way we want it. Because I really want money. That's all.
The cost of Ukrainian gas production has not changed at all since 2008. “Ukrgasvydobuvannya” was profitable 10 years ago, so it is profitable now, and now it is super profitable. Gas consumption in Ukraine has almost halved over the past 10 years. The needs of the population have not changed much either. All gas price issues are solely due to the greed of the current Cabinet of Ministers and ignorance of what the economy is and how it works.
Today the state is the largest debtor for housing and communal services. This year's budget contains as much money for subsidies as was allocated last year on the fourth attempt - despite the fact that prices will now be higher. There is no money set aside for debt repayment.
A system in which 60% of the population are subsidy recipients is nonsense. This means that the remaining 40% pay for themselves and for this same 60%. Where the money goes is unclear.
If you look at the statements of Naftogaz, it turns out that they need a loan to buy gas - a company with tens of billions of hryvnia in profit wants to borrow a couple more billion so as not to buy the necessary gas from the money included in the cost. Moreover, all the necessary funds for the purchase of gas are already included in its price.
Therefore, if Naftogaz needs something more, it can buy it at the expense of profits, without loans. Naftogaz doesn’t have a lot of money, but it doesn’t make anyone any better,” the expert described the paradoxical situation in Ukraine.
