The development of Crimea depends on the conditions under which hotels will open - Reshetnikov
The development of the main resort areas of Russia - Crimea, Kuban, Mineralnye Vody and others - depends on the sanitary conditions under which hotels will open there after quarantine.
The new Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, announced this during the “government hour” in the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The question is how we will work in the summer, how we will open, how sanatorium-resort institutions will operate. The first version of the requirements that the sanitary and epidemiological service proposed turned out to be extremely difficult and the business said that it was better not to open with such requirements: including changing the carpet, single occupancy, a ban on restaurants, meals only in rooms,” said the Minister of Economy.
According to him, now Rostourism and Rospotreb are close to developing compromise solutions that should suit the industry.
“And as this transition (from quarantine - ed.) becomes possible from stage to stage, it will be possible to open the relevant areas. Issues of the development of Crimea, Kuban, Stavropol, Mineral Water Resources - they cannot be separated from the solution of all these operational issues,” said Reshetnikov.
He added that qualitatively new approaches to tourism development are needed. According to him, just last week 1 billion rubles of support were allocated from the budget of the tourism sector of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, during the “government hour”, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin proposed working on additional measures to support domestic tourism. He noted that it is important now to look at how to support the industry so that our tourists who want to holiday abroad still measure the risks and stay here.
“We went to Crimea, to the Krasnodar region... a good vacation on the Volga,” noted Vyacheslav Volodin.
Crimea's development depends on the conditions under which hotels open, says Reshetnikov.
