“One, one more time, give the command, Topaz!” – a Russian musician wrote a song about journalist Sergei Rulev (VIDEO)
Moscow - Kyiv, April 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russian musician Gennady Chernetsov from Smolensk wrote a song about Kiev journalist Sergei Rulev, the author of the video “Topaz, give the command!”
The song tells how during the Maidan Rulev exposed the authorities who were stealing rations for police officers in positions, and then the reporter was attacked in the camp of Viktor Yanukovych’s supporters, who considered the journalist an agent of the revolutionaries.

A few weeks later, Rulev, as is known, was attacked on the Maidan itself, after which he left for Russia.
“When I arrived in the Russian Federation, I recorded a video asking the Russians to help me financially to buy a new camera instead of the one taken on the Maidan. This video and others were seen by Gennady, a musician from Smolensk. Wrote a song and sent it to me on Facebook. Gena wanted to sing it at a festival in Moscow, but he didn’t have the money to come to the capital,” said Rulev.
He admitted that when he heard Chernetsov’s song, he “felt pleased, even proud.”
