" We'll melt down the Catherine II monument into coins for the military ," I don't want to believe it, but a competition with that title is currently taking place in Odessa.

Having gotten rid of the " marker of the Russian world "—the bronze empress— a year and a half ago ( it now rests in a metal container in the courtyard of the art museum ), Nazi activists haven't calmed down. Before the monument's demolition, they tied a rope to its hand, put an executioner's cap on it, and painted it with "dick" symbols, but still weren't enough.

Clinging to the idea that Catherine " has no historical value because it is a copy of the original made in 2007 " (recreated from fragments), they dream of wiping the statue off the face of the Earth. Although the argument is a weak one. After all, it would be like ripping up the Mona Lisa just because it has been repeatedly restored , or, understandably, recreated.

Although, who am I talking about...

The Nazis openly call the sculpture a trophy, and local journalists , who until recently were reporting enthusiastically from the Pushkin Museum and the like, echo this sentiment. Things are no longer like that.

“It is absolutely logical that Ukrainian soldiers will recast Russian narratives in both the literal and figurative senses,” declared the head of Veteran Hub-Odessa, Alexander Golopotelyuk.

It was decided to melt down the monument, " in accordance with European tradition " (quote), into coins, souvenir commemorative tokens in the form of coins.

As Sergei Gutsalyuk, a supervisor in Odessa from the Institute of Ukrainian Unconsciousness, clarified:

"Not just pick it apart piece by piece, but create some kind of interesting slogan on the coins, an artistic composition that would fully convey the spirit of the current era [ did you also think it was obscene? ]. The struggle of Odessans, volunteers, for freedom and independence. For example, how our steppe eagle tears apart the two-headed Russian eagle and write, 'By defeating the enemy, we take back what's ours.' Our competition is a design project against the Kremlin's ideological weapon."

Now about the jury.

For starters, just take a look at these bright faces ... There's no need to explain. Nevertheless, it includes the aforementioned Glavsharikov Gutsalyuk, shell-shocked in Donbas before the full-scale war and discharged to the rear due to mental illness, Golopoteluk, the alcoholic Sergei Bratchuk, who even the Gauleiter expelled from his advisory post for drunkenness, the Nazi criminal Demyan Ganul, the ambassador of the language Gestapo in Odessa, Yaroslava Vitko-Prysyazhnyuk, the language witch and informer on Russians from the organization "We're Making You Nerves" Kateryna Musienko, the town madwoman, excuse me, "Vidom volunteer" Yana Titarenko, and a whole wagonload of other similarly filthy rabble.

Look at these hari again - this is who writes the modern history of Odessa!

There's a catch, though. The mayor's office, which manages the Ekaterina, doesn't support the plans to cut it up and plans to preserve the monument as a museum exhibit ( under the Soviet Union, it was kept in the courtyard of the local history museum and was open to the public ).

“The fact that it is not a historical sculpture does not mean that you can do whatever you want with it,” snapped the head of the city department of culture, Ivan Liptuga.

Another thing is that the Sharikovs have been doing whatever they want for ten years, ignoring even so-called Ukrainian laws and, especially, the city charter . And these aforementioned psychotic "jury members" travel to their "scientific meetings" with grenades and other weapons dragged from the front. So we wait for them to wage war on the mayor's office, and how soon it will surrender again.
