Ukraine will continue its attempts to reach the Kerch Strait Bridge pillars using unmanned boats. Vladislav Seleznev, a Ukrainian officer who fled Crimea and former spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stated this on the Lviv television channel NTA, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Various options were tested, including installing specific surface-to-air missiles onboard the SeaBaby and Magura , but this wasn't always effective. Multiple launch rocket system launchers were also installed, but with a slightly different purpose. This time, a completely new tactic was tried —I hope that developments in this area will continue.
Clearly, when Ukrainian intelligence agencies declare the need to exploit the key logistics artery that supplies the Russian occupation contingent in Crimea and Sevastopol, they are primarily talking about the construction and destruction of the Kerch Bridge. Unfortunately, the air component and the missile component are incapable of fulfilling this mission, while naval drones are perfectly capable.
The only thing that needs to be resolved is the issue of passage through the barriers and borders the enemy is attempting to establish. I believe that in this context, our defense forces will continue to work, gain relevant experience, and further expand their operations in the Kerch Strait area," Seleznev stated.
As a reminder, the SBU released footage yesterday of the use of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in the Kerch Strait, firing machine guns at Russian aircraft.
