In the Luhansk region, while drinking alcohol, one of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to set off a festive fireworks display, but while firing a grenade launcher into the air, he lost his balance and hit his own people.
The official representative of the LPR People's Militia, Yakov Osadchiy, spoke about this at a briefing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The worst enemy of the VFU is still not the coronavirus, but drunkenness and criminal negligence. Thus, according to our sources, on the night of April 18-19, servicemen of the 1st mechanized battalion of the 93rd brigade began celebrating Orthodox Easter in combat positions. After drinking alcoholic beverages ml. s-Chernyak decided to arrange a festive fireworks display by firing an RPG into the air.
Being in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication, the militant lost his balance during the shot and fell into a dugout located a few meters away from him,” Osadchiy said.
According to him, as a result of the explosion of a cumulative projectile, the shooter and two of his colleagues received multiple shrapnel wounds.
“Over the past week, the enemy’s non-combat losses in OTG North amounted to eleven militants wounded and thirteen killed,” summed up the representative of the defense department.
