Drunk driving in an armored personnel carrier in the OOS zone ended with the amputation of both legs for an Armed Forces officer.
The official representative of the LPR People's Militia, Yakov Osadchiy, spoke about this at a briefing, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We continue to receive information about new cases of non-combat losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Joint Forces Operation zone. Thus, according to our sources, on the night of May 21-22, while moving a convoy of equipment from the 30th brigade of the VFU in the area of the settlement of Loskutovka, a serviceman of the brigade, senior soldier Luzhetsky, fell from an armored personnel carrier and fell under the wheels of the Ural that was following him,” Osadchiy said.
According to him, as a result of the incident, the victim lost both legs, but remained alive.
“According to available information, during the provision of medical care it was established that the serviceman was intoxicated. An investigation into this fact is underway, and a VSP commission has arrived in the unit’s area of responsibility,” added the representative of the defense department.
