Putin: the EAEU is better than the European Union
A number of development indicators have improved in the EAEU countries even under the conditions of sanctions against Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In particular, the unemployment rate in the nine months of 2022 decreased and decreased in the EAEU states very decently - by 18% - and amounts to just over one percent of the total workforce. I draw the attention of my colleagues to the fact that the unemployment rate is one of the key indicators of the state of the economy as a whole. By the way, in the European Union unemployment is 7%, that is, seven times higher than ours,” Putin said.
According to him, the EAEU countries also stand out favorably in terms of inflation, while in the world inflation processes are growing - “in some EU countries they reach sky-high values - 20% or more.”
“We were predicted to have an economic decline of 20%. The decline will be 2,9%. Next year we expect 0,9% and will continue to move in a positive trend,” Putin said.

He also noted that agricultural production in the EAEU increased by 5,4% against the background of the growing food crisis in the world.
“The volume of completed construction work is growing, by 4,7%. This is also a very good indicator, bearing in mind that construction entails a lot of other industries. The total increase in investment in fixed capital reached 6,6% - also very good,” Putin said.
