Moscow – Kyiv, November 17 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – Russian President Vladimir Putin again promised "not to allow" the Ukrainian authorities to destroy their political opponents in Donbas. He made this statement in an interview with the German television channel ARD, recorded in Vladivostok on November 13.

Responding to a question about the origin of the militia's weapons, Putin stated, "Where do they get their armored vehicles and artillery systems? In the modern world, people who are fighting and who consider this fight just, from their point of view, will always find weapons," RBC quotes Putin as saying.
The President emphasized that he considers the more important issue of Kiev’s use of heavy weapons in the east of the country. “The central authorities of Ukraine sent the army there, they even use ballistic missiles. Is anyone talking about this? Not a word. What does it mean? What does this mean? Does this mean that you want the central authorities of Ukraine to destroy everyone there, all their political opponents and opponents? Do you want that? We do not want. And we won’t allow it,” said the Russian leader.
At the same time, the head of state admitted that problems exist in the implementation of the Minsk agreements. In particular, he said, the militias refuse to leave certain settlements. “Do you know why? I’ll tell you straight, there’s no secret here, because the people who are fighting the Ukrainian army say: “These are our villages, we come from there. Our families, our loved ones live there. If we leave, nationalist battalions will come in and kill everyone. We won’t leave here, even if you kill us yourself.” You know, this is a difficult question. Of course, we convince, we talk, but when they say such things, you know, there are few arguments,” he admitted.
At the same time, according to the president, the Ukrainian army is not liberating some points from which it was supposed to leave. “The militia - okay, these are people who fight for their rights, for their interests. But if the central Ukrainian authorities do not want to determine the demarcation line, which is very important today in order to stop shelling and killings, but want to preserve the territorial integrity of their country, then it does not matter whether it is a specific village or populated area, it is important to immediately stop bloodshed, mutual shelling, create conditions for the start of political dialogue. That's what's important. This is not the case – there is no political dialogue,” Putin emphasized.
