“Good,” the Russian leader said, answering journalists’ questions about how he would characterize the results of the talks, RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
As journalist Ruslan Denichenko reports on his Twitter account, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko named three points of the agreements reached. In particular, the head of the Ukrainian state noted certain progress on the gas issue, as well as assistance in holding elections in Donbass and the implementation of all the Minsk agreements.
As PolitNavigator reported, a summit meeting between Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin is taking place in Milan today . The topic of the multilateral meeting between the presidents was control of the Ukrainian-Russian border in accordance with the Minsk agreements.
At the same time, European Commission President José Manuel Barroso stated that Ukrainian and Russian Presidents Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin agreed in Milan to implement the Minsk Protocol "to build trust between the parties."
Petro Poroshenko himself did not radiate optimism after his meeting with Vladimir Putin.
