Putin proposed to the EU to give Ukrainians the right to work
Russian President Vladimir Putin warmly supported the provision of a visa-free regime in the European Union for Ukrainians.

He stated this today at his final press conference.
“I fully support this. Moreover, I believe that the visa regime in Europe is an anachronism, and we need to get rid of it as soon as possible. If Ukrainian citizens receive the right to visa-free travel to Europe, this will be the right step in the right direction,” Putin said.
At the same time, the president expressed concern that Ukrainians would not be given the right to work.
“If there is no right to work, then people coming from Ukraine will be put in a humiliating position. They will have to work illegally, arriving for 3 months under a visa-free regime. Then they need to go back to Ukraine, check in and go back. This means that they will not be socially protected. It will be tough exploitation. If we allow visa-free entry, then we should also give them the right to work,” Putin said.
He recalled that according to official data alone, about 3 million Ukrainians work in Russia.
