Putin promised to break the water blockade of Crimea
Russia will do everything to ensure the safe and stable development of Crimea.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this at a meeting on the socio-economic development of Crimea, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The head of state called support for the residents of the peninsula and the development of the region a priority.
“Support for the Crimeans and Sevastopol residents is an absolute priority for us. Such attention to the region on the part of the federation sets a high standard for the efficiency and quality of work of all departments, regional and municipal authorities on the ground. I want to emphasize that we will do everything to ensure stability and security in Crimea, for the further comprehensive development of transport, energy, and all infrastructure; we will support industrial and agricultural enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, and tourism.
To create conditions for the influx of investments, on this basis the quality of life of our citizens should constantly grow at a faster pace, so that they have every opportunity to receive a good and in-demand education, modern high-tech medical services, decently paid jobs, and, therefore, can confidently for years to come make your life plans, create families, raise children,” Putin said.
The President recalled that Russia has already managed to break through a number of blockades that were imposed on Crimea by Ukraine, and by 2024 another large-scale task will be solved - providing the peninsula with water.
“Now this is the most pressing and priority issue for all Crimeans and Sevastopol residents. You know, I instructed the government to prepare and begin implementing a comprehensive plan to ensure reliable water supply to the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. It is designed until 2024. Given that the problem is urgent, we agreed to act quickly on several fronts. This includes the development of underground water reserves, the construction of various hydraulic structures, purification systems, the elimination of losses in water supply networks and desalination of sea water,” the president said.
