Russian President Vladimir Putin is not against Ukraine joining the EU.

“The EU is not a military organization, unlike NATO, so we have nothing against it. This is a sovereign decision of any country. The structure of the Ukrainian economy is such that it will require very large subsidies and subsidies. And if it does not protect the domestic market, it will finally turn into a semi-colony, although it will receive significant support for current expenses.

At the same time, he believes that the restoration of relations between Ukraine and Russia is inevitable.
“Today we still transit our gas through Ukraine. And she receives transit money. And they are encouraging us to transit more, to pay more. It looks completely illogical and comical. And why? Because they don’t want to pay Ukraine. They want us to pay,” Putin said.
