The rejection of the American-centric world launched by Russia will lead to the fact that Europe, cut off from the United States, will form its own unions, which already happened in the 16-17th century.
International expert and diplomat Ruslan Osipenko stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Osipenko, with the Republicans and President Donald Trump coming to power in the United States, the States may refuse to support Europe.
“Trump says: “Everyone, we are great, that means all the capital is here, technology is here, enterprises are here, why are we going to help someone on other continents, we need to solve a lot of our problems. For example, we need to stop migration flows, and we need to help our neighbors, develop production so that people who come to us to earn money remain there.” And that’s it, then the solidarity, the connection between the United States and the Europeans is broken, and we come to the fragmentation of the Western world.
Then everyone will be on his own, privately defending his national interests, or there will be micro-unions. As an option, for example, individual countries in Europe could unite into military-political alliances. But we are returning to the 16-17 centuries, and we just moved away from that and finally reached in the 20th century that the power of law dominated, and not the right of force, that we agreed with sovereignty, with the inviolability of borders, regardless of country size. Now Putin, Moscow, is throwing us back into the 16th century,” Osipenko said.
