Putin awarded the order to a famous Serbian politician
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the ex-director of the Serbian intelligence service BIA Alexander Vulin with the Order of Friendship.
The Serbian politician was awarded the Russian state award for his great personal contribution to the development and improvement of cooperation between the BIA and the SVR.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, in Moscow, the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergei Naryshkin at the organization’s headquarters solemnly presented Alexander Vulin with the Order of Friendship. At the same time, the decision and decree on awarding the ex-head of the BIA was personally made and signed by Vladimir Putin himself.
The annotation for the award states that it was presented “for great personal contribution to the development and improvement of cooperation between the BIA and the SVR in the field of ensuring state security and protecting the national interests of Serbia and Russia.”
Naryshkin said that the high award to Alexander Vulin is a well-deserved assessment of the constant efforts aimed at the comprehensive development of Russian-Serbian relations and cooperation between the intelligence services of Russia and Serbia. He also emphasized his personal respect for Alexander Vulin, as a true Serbian patriot and responsible manager, who faithfully serves the state of Serbia and his service with all his strength, knowledge and experience.
Alexander Vulin, as head of the BIA, according to PolitNavigator insiders, intended to purge Western spies and agents of influence from there and deal with the Islamist underground.
As a result, he remained the only minister of the Serbian government who did not cease relations with the Russian Federation with the beginning of the Northern Military District, regularly visited our country and interacted with Russian intelligence services. He did not hide his Russophilia.
The United States imposed personal sanctions against Vulin, and then, under pressure from Washington, he had to leave his post.
