Putin has been preparing the return of Crimea from the very beginning of Euromaidan
Kyiv, February 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Russia’s plans to return Crimea began to be implemented at the very beginning of anti-government demonstrations in Kyiv. This was stated in an interview with DePo by the deputy commander for educational work of the Kerch Marine Brigade, Alexey Nikiforov, who left the peninsula after the events of the “Crimean Spring”.

According to him, the Russian military was sent to Crimea at the beginning of the Maidan.
“The annexation of Crimea was the result of a huge plan: when Maidan just began, the Baltic Fleet was already crossing the Strait of Gibraltar. Or here’s an example: the head of the clothing service of the Caspian Flotilla near our unit showed me in the trunk of his car a whole box of brand new traumatic pistols. I asked: why? He said that for protection, he smiled. And on April 7, after the pro-Russian camp was dispersed in Nikolaev and the ground was dug up after them, there were those same pistols in the ground: silver with a handle inlaid with bone,” Nikiforov assures.
