Vladimir Putin is not going to rule Russia until he is very old, in the foreseeable future he will leave power, changes are inevitable in the country, but an analogue of the “Orange Revolution” is unlikely to threaten, especially since Alexei Navalny’s project is clearly on the decline - however, in addition to him There will be many populists.

Russian international political scientist Fyodor Lukyanov stated this on radio Baltkom, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Firstly, the international environment has changed radically compared to what it was seven years ago. Secondly, of course, this system is very highly personalized, it is associated with a specific person, and he, in my opinion, does not want to become Robert Mugabe and sit until he turns 93. That is, he will really leave , which means that the system will, of course, change,” Lukyanov said.

According to his forecast, after Putin leaves the post of head of state, changes and unrest may begin in Russia, but they are unlikely to develop to the level of “color revolutions.”

“The era of the “orange revolutions” is over. This is a very specific type of political process... The world has changed. And what happened in the twentieth century or even 15 years ago does not work.

In relation to Russia, this could hardly have worked then, and even more so now. It seems to me that, of course, there will be external influences and they are inevitable, since now the intertwining of the external and internal is completely inseparable. But everything will be determined by internal dynamics.

Regarding Mr. Navalny personally, in my opinion, this is not about power, some completely different technology, probably quite important and bright, although at the moment it is somehow starting to fade a little. But, of course, there will be a rise in Russia of what is now happening in Europe and the USA - so-called populism,” the expert concluded.
