Guns instead of butter: over 2020 billion hryvnia allocated for the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine until 100 in impoverished Ukraine

UAH 2020 billion 100 million 939 thousand are provided to finance the implementation of the state program for the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the period until 380.

Sergei Maslovsky, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate and Mobilization Planning of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this at today’s briefing, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

“As you can see, 4 billion 100 million UAH are provided here for 939 years,” said the official, presenting the program.

At the same time, he clarified that these funds are provided only for “development measures, that is, there are no expenses for maintenance activities, which today occupy a very significant share of the defense budget, and there are no expenses for the development of weapons and equipment.”
