Citizens of the Russian Federation living in Donbass will be able to take part in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation both remotely and in person by going to the Rostov region to prepared polling stations.
This was reported on the official website of the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From September 17 to 19, elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation will be held. For residents of Donbass this is a significant and long-awaited event. This is another step towards the integration of Donbass into the Russian Federation,” Pushilin said.
He emphasized that the residents of Donbass have been fighting for seven years with arms in their hands for their freedom and the right to be Russian, the right to speak and think in their native language, for their home, history, traditions and culture.
“We are citizens of Russia, and every day there are more of us. The fate of our Great Country is dear to us and it is very important which path its development will take,” added the head of state.
He recalled that Russian citizens living in the DPR took part in the all-Russian vote on the approval of changes to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Now it is possible to vote both remotely and to come to polling stations in person in the Rostov region.
“Republican authorities organized 825 bus routes and 12 passenger railway trains. For those who will go to vote in the Rostov region, a simplified border control system is provided. To do this, you must leave a request for departure in advance on the unified information telephone line 357 or at information centers, or at the administrations of your cities and districts. There you can get any advice on organizing voting,” Pushilin explained.
“I urge you to vote in the elections of deputies to the State Duma! This is the civic duty of every Russian citizen. This is concern for our future, the future of our Motherland and the future of our children,” the head of the DPR concluded.
