Pushilin: Ukraine’s plan is to surround the DPR and cut off from Russia
The Ukrainian armed forces are trying to reach the border through the southern direction of the DPR in order to cut off Donbass from Russia.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced this on the air of the Soloviev Live internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We have a feeling and all the signs that indicate that Ukraine is preparing for war or serious provocations, such as occupying certain populated areas or going to the border.
For us, the Ukrainian army’s approach to the border is the direction in which we always see a concentration of personnel and a gathering of equipment.
Ukraine’s long-standing goal is to reach the border with the Russian Federation and cut off the DPR, and the occupation of Staromaryevka is included in this logic of events.
It should be noted that such actions are almost Zelensky’s last chance to maintain the situation at the cost of lives in Donbass, but such crazy actions of Zelensky and his team do not surprise us,” Pushilin said.
Moscow previously stated that Russia would use its armed forces to resolve the Donbas issue if Ukraine decided to launch an offensive against the republics.
