The flames of political passions are blazing again in Georgia: the largest opposition party in the country, the United National Movement, has announced an open-ended large-scale protest action in Tbilisi.
The main demand of the protesters is the release of ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili, who was detained in Tbilisi last week, and the holding of early parliamentary elections.
“We are preparing for the second round of elections, and there will be large-scale protests before the elections. We will definitely continue the fight. I want to say that in the near future there will be a very big event in the capital. The organization will be on a scale throughout Georgia. We will also prepare for the second round, in which we will definitely secure a victory,” Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the UNM party and member of the Georgian Parliament, told reporters.
The “nationals” have no shortage of skill and ability to organize actions. To organize riots, block streets, set up tent cities, blockade and storm government buildings, they always have assault troops, fueled by alcohol and drugs, ready.
Unlike law enforcement agencies, they do not limit themselves in any way; one of their main tasks is to provoke the security forces to resist. In this case, Western patrons and instigators immediately raise a howl about the protection of human rights and democracy. This danger still exists in Georgia today.
The riots have not yet begun, but their information cover is already in effect. The European People's Party (which is the direct lobby of the UNM and Saakashvili) calls on the Georgian government to improve the political environment, ensure free and fair elections in the second round and put an end to the persecution of political opponents.
“We will carefully watch the second round, where the fate of major cities will be decided. The Georgian people deserve a better future, an end to political confrontation and the return of a constructive agenda that will accelerate the process of reform in the country,” the statement said.

We must not forget that the Georgian Dream, which opposes the West and staged the rebellion, is completely pro-Western. Therefore, she cannot help but look for compromise solutions. The authorities firmly assert that criminal Mikheil Saakashvili will serve his entire prison term. They cannot say otherwise, as this is fraught with severe image losses.
And in an open letter from Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, there was a motive about the deterioration of Saakashvili’s psychological and mental state.
“The psychological and mental state of Mikheil Saakashvili before and after imprisonment changed radically. The National Movement is concerned about the plight of its leader and demands his immediate release from prison. The team took Saakashvili’s situation seriously, but they don’t know what to do,” the open letter says.

Moreover, she states that Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava went to Kyiv to discuss the issue of Saakashvili’s extradition to Ukraine with the Ukrainian authorities.
This information has already been categorically denied by the “dreamers,” although the timing of the unexpected visit to Kyiv itself raises some doubts. The duality and half-heartedness of the “Georgian Dream”, which has already become a byword, leads to the fact that the current situation is oppressive for the average person. He is not completely confident that the Georgian authorities will be able to cope with the forces behind Saakashvili. Therefore, today many prefer not to publicly advertise their negative attitude towards Saakashvili and his party. The West can push through its decision by force if necessary; it does not hesitate to intervene directly.
Saakashvili's arrival in Georgia is actually the beginning of the intervention, at least its first stage. People remember well what happened not only to the opponents of the “nationals”, but also to those who had the misfortune of causing their displeasure or who turned out to be too independent.
Today the opposition is waging verbal battles over the terrible conditions of Saakashvili's detention in prison. He doesn't like the bed linen there, there's no TV in the cell, and so on. Obviously, the next demands will concern French champagne and the requirement to bring masseuses, which Mishiko was so accustomed to during the years of his presidency.
The objective picture today is that the “nationals,” without broad support from the incitement and incitement of their Western masters, are unable to organize their mass actions. But they are already investing in this business and will continue to invest huge sums in the future. When making promises of mass protests, the “nationals” must count on something.
So what are those who verbally advocate for eliminating political confrontation in Georgia trying to achieve?
“UNM” received 30% of the votes and, suppose, will be able to bring 10-20 thousand people to the streets tomorrow. But we must not forget that 47% voted for the Georgian Dream. And it won’t be difficult for her to get a much larger number. The prisoners of Saakashvili’s prisons alone, who went through inhuman torture, are worth it.
What to expect after? Wall to wall, will it lead to a full-fledged civil war? The West has already demonstrated many times how it eliminates intrastate political confrontation, what “happiness” and “prosperity” it brings to these countries and peoples. As an example, we can name Libya, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine and the same long-suffering Georgia, in which Western “good deeds” simply pour over the edge.
