“There are no problems with spare parts for imported cars” - Director of Autostat
Imported car manufacturers continue to work in Russia in “silence mode”, almost uninterruptedly supplying warranty spare parts.
The executive director of the analytical agency Autostat, Sergei Udalov, said this during an open discussion of the President of the Association of Russian Banks, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Garegin Tosunyan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Many of the manufacturers who left in “silence mode” did not announce that they were leaving and did not declare that they were staying, so as not to come into conflict with the European community, they in fact continue to supply or compensate , at least for cars sold officially, warranty spare parts. That is, it takes longer, but, nevertheless, many of them look into a fairly long term, therefore, in principle, under the guarantee they compensate dealers for spare parts, so dealers seem to not be dealers, but continue to help customers, because this is what many companies They are trying to fight for their client, for the consumer,” he noted.
“Well, many dealers too, in fact, have chosen such a customer-oriented position, and if they cannot get spare parts from the official representative office, they find them in the same parallel imports. That is, now the shortage of spare parts is mainly only for some rare car models,” Udalov concluded.
