Armenia's recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh only benefits NATO - expert
The inclusion of Nagorno-Karabakh into Armenia will lead to a complete reformatting of NATO status, which will open the door for the North Atlantic alliance to Georgia and Ukraine
Political scientist Alexander Sosnovsky, who lives in Germany, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This plays into NATO's hands. If Armenia recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh, then the next step will be recognition of the possibility of Georgia and Ukraine joining NATO, and that’s it! This is very related, they will say: if this happens and this happens, and one country accepts another country that does not have legal status, it actually falls into the Russian defense field. In the NATO status, this is connected with the NATO status, it is impossible to admit into NATO those countries on the territory of which there are conflicts.
If Armenia accepts Nagorno-Karabakh and enters the Russian protection zone, then the West and NATO have every reason to say: if you do this, then we will do this. Thus, Erdogan builds a base where he wanted with Azerbaijan, NATO makes a decision on the admission of Ukraine and Georgia if they submit such applications. Any fantastic decisions are made and resolved within two days,” Sosnowski said.
