“Three veterans came on their own. These are very old people. With military awards, with tears in their eyes, with words of great gratitude for being remembered and not forgotten. You know, they were more happy not with the payments themselves, but with our attitude towards veterans. The attitude that exists towards veterans on the other side defies any human comprehension. They are very grateful that they are remembered, that the feat of the Great Patriotic War is honored here, and they are not forgotten,” Tolstykina said.
According to her, as of today, 11 veterans have received assistance from the DPR under the humanitarian program - these are the mentioned three front-line soldiers who came to the republic, as well as 8 more heroes, to whom payments were delivered by relatives.
