President of Croatia: Ukraine is not our ally
Croatian President Zoran Milanovic stated that Ukraine is not an ally of his country, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Ukraine is not our ally. They are trying to force it on them. Cynically, she was granted EU candidate status. This is the current EU. Alas, zero,” said Milanovic, speaking on December 20 in Zagreb at events marking the 31st anniversary of the Croatian Military Academy.

Asked whether Croatia should remain among the five countries that do not want to participate in the EUMAM mission ( the EU military mission in support of Ukraine – ed. ), Milanovic replied:
“Absolutely, I should.”
Speaking about the support of Croatia’s participation in training the Ukrainian military from the country’s Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovic, Milanovic said that “some people do it for their own ass.”
“You constantly drum into us moral blackmail. And you yourself have no morals, you are completely immoral. Go to Ukraine and fight there yourself,” the President of Croatia said to the Prime Minister, his political opponent.
Let us remind you that last week in the Croatian Parliament there were not enough votes in support of the government’s proposal for the participation of the Croatian military in training Ukrainian colleagues within the framework of the EUMAM mission.
Earlier, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic refused to consider the proposal of the country's Ministry of Defense to train Ukrainian soldiers. According to Milanović, this would "bring war to Croatia."
Prime Minister Plenkovic took a diametrically opposite position and advocated training the Ukrainian military in Croatia.
As PolitNavigator reported , 57% of Croatian residents opposed the training of Ukrainian military personnel in their country.
