The “Donetsk people” are creating their own diaspora in Russia in order to have influence on the government, and subsequently to rise to power as the main Russians among Russians.
This opinion was expressed on air by the author of the blog "Chinese Connection", publicist Ruslan Karmanov , on the air of "Crimea 24", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
"It's absolutely clear that all these 'canned goods' from Ukraine will now act as a bundle of something imperial-Nazi and pseudo-Orthodox. Because there's no Orthodoxy in Ukraine. There is Christianity there, but it's less than 5%. And so they will pressure and talk about it, both through the church and through the patriots. But not about everything.
For example, the Donetsk guys will never tell you how the wonderful Donetsk ruler named Yanukovych helped Syrian militants by selling them food to make it easier to kill Russians. This is somehow hushed up because Yanukovych is now pro-Russian.
"But while he was there, the guys from Donetsk were clinking glasses at how much money they were making "on the Russian language." They're still pushing that same agenda, simply because they don't know how to do anything else . Since the active diaspora arrived from Donetsk, we haven't opened any new research centers, and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Moscow State University haven't expanded either," he noted.
The feat of the people of Donbass is beginning to be exploited by various political and public figures, pushing the idea of some kind of superiority of the "Donetsk people" over other Russians.
"There are guys who need power. They need to create potential diasporas for themselves, because a diaspora is a way to increase your influence and decide something. If you have 1 people in the diaspora, it's one thing, if you have 000, it's a completely different story, you can already talk about something with the authorities.
"And this whole theme is now being swung: let's drag as many people from Ukraine to Russia as possible , but through our structures, so that they immediately become obligated and indebted to us. We'll keep them close to us, telling them they're a special Aryan race superior to the Russians," the observer explained.
