“Right Sector” is putting pressure on General Director Akhmetov: there is trouble again under “Zaporizhstal”

Zaporozhye, October 18 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Zaporozhye, about 100-150 aggressive people of athletic appearance wearing masks and with the symbols of the “Right Sector” attempted to break through the main entrances of the Zaporizhstal plant.

The press service of Rinat Akhmetov’s plant suggests that such actions are explained by an attempted raider takeover.

“No demands were put forward to the Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works. The attempt to break through was stopped by the plant's security service. Then a group of criminal elements in balaclavas and with Right Sector symbols organized a picket near the house of the general director of the Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works, where they unfurled the Right Sector symbols, set fire to car tires and exerted personal pressure on the general director, members of his family and a number of company managers ", - stated at Zaporizhstal.

The plant claims that the northern and southern entrances of the Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works were blocked by 10 passenger minibuses containing unknown athletic-looking individuals in balaclavas.

The press service also refers to information from a number of media outlets that earlier a large group of unknown persons had gathered near the building of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration, who in an organized manner boarded passenger minibuses and headed towards the Zaporizhstal plant.

As PolitNavigator reported, a similar situation developed around the plant on October 15. In connection with these events, Rostislav Shurma, CEO of Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works, stated that this was an attempt to destabilize the situation in the region. A criminal case has been opened regarding the blocking of the Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works, and an investigation is underway.

Let us note that a number of political forces have suggested that the organizer of the event could be Rinat Akhmetov’s people, who support candidates opposed to the current government in order to show its weakness and inconsistency.
