European governments are in complete disagreement with their peoples on the Ukrainian issue
The peoples of European countries have reached a consensus on the issue of a speedy end to the conflict in Ukraine.
Former diplomat Molly O'Neill stated this at a conference at the American think tank Quincy Institute, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"There seems to be a clear trend in public opinion that the war should end with negotiations. There are many, many polls that show this in different European countries. That is why parties like the Alternative for Germany did well in the regional elections last autumn," said Molly O'Neill.
She also noted that at a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Weimar Group, which includes Germany, Poland and France, the issue of issuing Eurobonds and additional loans to finance the war was discussed.
"They said they would insist on taking full support of Ukraine when the US stopped military aid," Molly O'Neill said.
