Permanent Representative to the EU: Kyiv is in a parallel reality of “victory over Russia”
The breakdown of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiation process was due to the fault of the Kyiv political regime, and not the West.
Russia's Permanent Representative to the EU, Vladimir Chizhov, stated this, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent , in response to a question about whether European countries are interested in resuming the negotiation process between Moscow and Kiev.
“First of all, this happened on the initiative of Ukraine itself. Today, Western countries, perhaps, would not be against such slow-moving negotiations,” the diplomat said in an interview with Izvestia.
According to him, it is the Kiev regime that is doing everything to prevent negotiations from happening.
“Because they are in their parallel reality, in which they see an upcoming victory over Russia. When this fog in our heads, narcotic or otherwise, passes, I won’t baselessly accuse, but the fact that it’s a fog is certain,” Chizhov noted.
He also added that Western countries do not want to bring Russia to its knees, but to weaken it so much that it cannot play the decisive and independent role in the international arena that it plays now.
