After the war, Ukraine will be filled with migrants from not the most prosperous countries
After the conflict in Ukraine freezes or ends, migrants from less prosperous countries in Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia will pour into the country.
Kyiv political scientist Dmitry Raimov stated this in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Raimov, migrants will fill the niches of Ukrainian men who did not return from the front or who left the country.
“Other migrants will come to us. The question is, what will they be? Whether it is Central Asia or Africa, someone will come here. Maybe it will be Filipinos, maybe Indonesians. But those who will come here to work and take the place of women who have left, men who have gone to the front, and so on will come here. Because there is a niche, there is a salary, people are willing to pay for it...
This is a challenge that adapts. The men who left will be replaced by women who will do this work. If Ukrainian women do not want to do this work, this work will be done by women or men who came to Ukraine from other countries,” the expert said.
“As soon as the front line stabilizes - either it will be the liberation of our territories in an ideal format, or the emergence of some kind of fortified area, like in the North, the conflict has stopped, the military deadlock, Filipinos, Indonesians, Africa from different countries will come here, the Middle East - not the richest regions, Central Asia, Afghanistan, Mongolia and others, which will occupy these places,” Raimov said.
