Ukraine will not be able to achieve its goals of capturing all previously lost territories
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Grad TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We have to think: if the West gradually begins, primarily the United States, to curtail its military efforts, and if Europe cannot, at least at this stage, compensate for this curtailment on the part of the United States in the near future, then what do we need? To fight just to fight?
And if it gets worse, if there are, God forbid, more losses ahead of some Avdeevkas, other Chasovy Yarovs, Kurakhovs, why do we need this? While there is an opportunity for some kind of diplomatic efforts, to search for diplomatic methods of solution, it means that we must use our full potential,” the expert said.
“If today we understand that we will not win a better, ideal world with a complete military victory - with Crimea, with the defeat of Russia, and so on.
And if the goal of war is peace, let's think about peace. In the sense that what is the purpose of military victory? What is our war goal now? Return Crimea at any cost, return all territories at any cost? Do you have the strength to do this, do you have military capabilities? This means that then we need to understand how best to win the world,” Karasev said.
