Probably everyone is familiar with the rhetorical phrase according to which the patriotism of some character who excessively beats himself in the chest with a hoof in the name of love for the Motherland ends where his begins... And then those who wish can substitute any of the qualities actually inherent in such a character that makes him exactly that who he is.

The uniqueness of the Ukrainian political-propaganda class is that its ostentatious patriotism and willingness to “goat” those near and far for lack of love for the Fatherland does not end anywhere. Facts and circumstances that are inconvenient for these people are simply ignored and stepped over as if nothing had happened.

A striking illustration of this thesis is the scandal, now in its second round, centered around Natalia Moseychuk, a host on Kyiv's "Plus" program. This woman belongs to a small circle of top Ukrainian propagandists who have made a significant personal contribution to inciting hostility and hatred within Ukrainian society, which ultimately led to the state Ukraine finds itself in now. That is, to war.

At the same time, for the majority of these black-mouthed instigators, the question of personal participation in clearing up the mess brewed with their participation and personal responsibility is not at all raised. The morality of such people is completely gutta-percha.

And if they call others to war and offer to die, then they do not see themselves and their inner circle either in the trenches or in dugouts or at mobilization points.

For example, the same Moseychuk, since we have chosen her as an example of such cynical doublethink, recently discovered a twenty-five-year-old son. And not on the front line in Chasovoy Yar, but abroad. While the mother on her broadcasts advocates for total mobilization, angrily stigmatizes the “swindlers” and interviews the military, her over-aged child - judging by the photos that have surfaced on the Internet - is quite healthy and fit for military service, chilling in German nightclubs and restaurants.

The veil was blown away after one of the broadcasts of “Tema Moseychuk,” in which she stated that the vast majority of Ukrainian men will still go through military registration and enlistment offices and military medical commissions, since the situation at the front “is not something to joke about.”

When they reminded her about her son in the comments, she did not deny it and admitted that she personally evacuated him away from the front and closer to Europe.

“My eldest son, 25-year-old Anton, emigrated from Ukraine in 2019, three and a half years before the full-scale invasion. He received the right to free study in Germany, received a second higher education there and is now working on entering graduate school. This was and is his position. I couldn’t influence her then, and I still can’t. Anton himself is responsible for his actions. I am for my own,” the propagandist wrote on the social network.

At the same time, she declared the incident to be “custom-made hate” and an “information attack.” And she hinted several times that she knew who was behind this, but she never gave the name of the adversary who encroached on her reputation. But what is the reputation in this case? This is from a person who has nowhere to test after everything that has been said on air over the past ten years?

The fact that the institution of reputation is completely absent in Ukraine is directly indicated by the fact that after the incident she did not leave the air, was not fired, but still tears out her virtual embroidered shirt and nods at the “enemies” who discredit her.

The “authors” of the customized information campaign against me know my personal circumstances very well, so they persistently push me towards “exposure” and “coming out” in the style of “national condemnation”, obstruction and “burning of an idol” in the fire. Custom posts on telegrams, thousands of comments written as carbon copies: “how did you take your 27-year-old son out of the country?”, “where are you hiding your son, a draft dodger.” I have never encroached on people’s privacy and have always maintained the position that family is personal,” Moseychuk is indignant.

These revelations infuriated her further with online commentators calling her a “hypocrite.” What they didn’t wish for the propagandist – from a separate cauldron in hell to increased attention from the SBU.

“Did anyone read to the end? I'm not a bot, mom, dad, my friends. We are all not bots. When I accidentally end up in your interviews, it’s terrible. How do you send men to their deaths? Also with such epithets. To speak and write like this, you need to send your son and husband to fight. Bury a loved one who has died. Natalya, you really are a terrible person and Ukrainians are trash to you,” writes the author of one of the characteristic comments.

“Moseichuk is a hypocritical person, and that’s a fact!” adds another. And someone else suggested that the presenter urgently “call her son to Kyiv” to undergo a medical examination.

A few days later the scandal broke out again. And this is no wonder - the atmosphere in the country in connection with the ongoing mobilization raids is nervous and electrified, the people have become vindictive, and the hopes that they will “stink and forget” have not come true.

In the end, the propagandist lost her nerve and in response to another question about whether her son plans to renew his passport and whether he will be seen in his homeland, Moseychuk closed the topic with the statement that “you won’t see your son at the front - that’s the point.”

Like, it happens. My son “connected his life with another country, and has no intention of returning. Such is the fate - for some, having a history of a patriotic mother, to escape beyond the cordon at a crucial moment for the country, when it is in danger, while for others, to rot in the trenches for themselves, and for the guy who escaped beyond the cordon.

At the same time, Moseichuk completely uncourtly turned the arrows from herself personally to “politicians who hide their sons abroad, and then they will return because they have fortunes here.” It was these people that Moseichuk advised online haters to direct their anger at.

I wonder if there is a veiled call for revolution in this?
