Portnikov reoriented: Zelensky is more dangerous for Putin than Poroshenko
For Russian President Vladimir Putin, Volodymyr Zelensky, who received 73% of the vote in the Ukrainian presidential election, is more dangerous than Petro Poroshenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This opinion was expressed by the well-known Ukrainian-Russian propagandist Vitaly Portnikov in a column for the Espreso TV channel website .

He called Zelensky a candidate “who is much more understandable not only for the “little Ukrainian”, but also for the “little Russian”.
“This guy who defeated the authorities is what everyone dreams of not only in Kramatorsk, but also in Kurgan. While Zelensky was only fighting for the presidency, Putin might not have noticed this; he was too focused on revenge on Poroshenko. But Zelensky won – and immediately became a danger. Putin is objectively not interested in his achievements - because success in the eyes of Russians will mean the victory of the non-systematic over the systemic. And for Russia this is worse than any Maidan. This will mean that the Kremlin, with its fight against Poroshenko, dug its own grave,” Portnikov wrote.
He believes that “Putin will drag the new Ukrainian president into one provocation after another: passports are just the beginning.”
“And Zelensky will respond to these provocations the way a non-systemic revolutionary should respond – by declaring war on the Putin regime. Moreover, if Poroshenko perceived Putin as the leader of a foreign country, then Zelensky perceives Putin as the head of a foreign government. They have a common civilization, and so does their audience, but their regimes are different. That’s why Zelensky is much more dangerous for Putin than Poroshenko,” says Portnikov.
Let us remember that in recent years, including the entire election campaign, Vitaly Portnikov has actively supported Petro Poroshenko and called him “the main threat to the Kremlin.”
Portnikov has reoriented himself : Zelensky is more dangerous to Putin than Poroshenko.
