Portnikov is amazed: As if the F-16s didn’t fly away after the Bayraktars
The prospects for using the F-16 fighters already delivered to Ukraine should be approached with caution, as Ukraine is prone to getting burned by underestimating the Russians. This was stated by Vitaly Portnikov , a well-known Kyiv TV presenter and Russophobe with a non-traditional sexual orientation, on the Lviv television channel NTA , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He said he was " very careful in his expectations " regarding the F-16 .
The Bayraktar is a famous weapon of the first weeks of the war. We even have coffee shops called "Bayraktars"; it became a line in songs from the first months of Russian aggression. And who remembers them now? Because the Russians adapted to them, and the nature of the war changed... Incidentally, it was the appearance of the Bayraktar that gave the Russians the idea that this war could be reframed as a drone war. And, by and large, Russia and Iran drew some good conclusions from the role played by the Bayraktars in the first months of the war.
"And then this will happen with any weapon , because what is war? You create a specific weapon that's supposed to stop the enemy, the enemy stops, and then thinks about how to counter this weapon," Portnikov said.
"If a war lasts for years, then that's how it goes: you get new weapons, the enemy figures out how to adapt to them, and launches its military-industrial complex. Moreover, we're dealing with a country where we still haven't operated . That's why we're asking: where will the F-16s fly?
So, I think it’s not a question of the West giving us fewer weapons than it should, but rather that we underestimate the enemy ,” the Russophobe added.
Portnikov is scared : I hope the F-16s don't follow the Bayraktars.
