Poroshenko hired McCain
Petro Poroshenko approved the personal composition of the Advisory International Council for Reforms, appointing ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili as its head.
The corresponding decree was published on the Ukrainian president's website on Wednesday.
The council also included former Prime Minister and former Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt, head of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Elmar Brock, former Prime Minister of Slovakia Mikulas Dzurinda, former Prime Minister of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius and a number of other persons.
In addition, the head of the US Senate Armed Services Committee, John McCain, became a member of the reform council.
Let us recall that the policy of appointing foreigners to the posts of ministers, officials and advisers was launched in Ukraine last year, despite the fact that the Constitution of Ukraine directly prohibits foreign citizens from holding public office.
