Kyiv, April 16 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The southern regions of Ukraine are completely loyal to Kiev, there are no pro-Russian sentiments here, said deputy and presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko, telling reporters on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada his impressions of visiting the south of the country.

“There is no threatening situation in the South... Pro-Ukrainian sentiments reign. There are no threats of anti-state activities. There are attempts to destabilize the situation across the Transnistrian border by non-Ukrainian elements,” he said, adding that the security forces are aware of such attempts, and they are taking all necessary measures.
“There are every opportunity to maintain stability in Kharkov and concentrate efforts on stabilizing the situation in Lugansk and Donetsk,” Poroshenko also argues.
