The press service of the head of state reported this.
He did not specify which veterans the Ukrainian president had in mind - the Red Army or collaborators from the UPA.
“It is very pleasant that Ukraine will be in red and black colors this year, and we will celebrate May 9 with honor and respect for the veterans who lived to see the 70th anniversary of Victory in World War II, as well as the veterans of our Patriotic War 2014-2015 gg., because this is the only Patriotic War where we defend our Motherland from the aggressor,” he said.
As you know, the combination of red and black colors forms the flag of the nationalist organization OUN-UPA.
